Beth Fitz Gibbon, D. M., President

Beth Fitz Gibbon, D.M., President Fitz Gibbon, Inc. Venture Development ConsultantsBeth Fitz Gibbon is an innovation professional specializing in new venture and new product design & development. Her practice includes business strategy, market research and strategic marketing. She has consulted with and held senior management positions at Fortune 500 corporations, small and medium enterprises and non-profits.

Fitz Gibbon's favorite client engagement has been helping a small collaborative team design and build a new global business venture formed through the strategic alliance of two multi-national corporations with very different cultures.

"It was a complex, international undertaking from market research through strategic planning, regulated product design and development, and complex organizational issues, to commercialization." The new business was one of Ad Age's Top 10 Business Launches of the Year and beat every projected 3-year corporate hurdle rate in year one.

Fitz Gibbon says she is fortunate to have developed her career as a portfolio, collecting experience in concept design and development, R&D and intrapreneurship, as well as, financial and operational processes, market launch, sales training, advertising & public relations, and customer service.

"The research begins at the R&D stage with engineers and scientists, and moves into research into the market, industry or sector with suppliers, sellers, consumers and potential users."

That broad and deep experience in a variety of industries and distribution channels has provided her with the ability to explore, analyze, synthesize and integrate data and information, leading to skilled strategy, planning, execution and implementation - turning ideas into action and results, whether that's a new business, new product line or a more efficient, effective and profitable new process.

Her joy in work comes from exploration and collaboration. "I love the discovery process. That's why working with scientists and engineers at the R & D stage is so rewarding. Every new project presents different challenges and rewards. Every one is an opportunity to contribute, to learn and to add value to our client's success."

Fitz Gibbon is a fierce advocate for entrepreneurship and innovation. She earned her doctorate in Business Management at Case Western Reserve University, where her research focused on the strategic outsourcing of innovation, knowledge transfer, and their implications for long-term competitiveness.

She has an MBA in International Marketing from Emory University, and a B. A. in English from Rutgers University, magna cum laude. Dr. Fitz Gibbon has studied executive negotiations at The Wharton School, Mergers & Acquisitions at Emory University and in Vienna, Austria at PricewaterhouseCoopers. She participated in the International Colloquium on Business in Eastern Europe at Linz University in Austria and in Budapest, Hungary.
